Melissa Scott Law was born out of a desire to create a law firm that provides clients with skillful representation and practical solutions for everyday situations. Too often what has worked in the past will not work in the future. This is especially the case in our rapidly evolving economy and social structures. MSL was founded with a desire to unite legal principles and practical solutions, which are often at odds.

Time and again, many professionals are taught to be reactionary, where they simply solve the problem at hand. At MSL, we strive to take a proactive approach to not only solve the problem, but to also to eliminate the potential for such issues to arise again. We want to help our clients create a platform to minimize the potential for these issues to reoccur.
MELISSA R. SCOTT, B.A., J.D.
Melissa is a London native. While completing her undergraduate degree at Western University, she spent a semester in Washington, D.C., during the 2008 Presidential election. She interned for Secretary Jack Kemp at his boutique strategic consulting firm, Kemp Partners. After graduation, Melissa returned to the United States where she received her Juris Doctor. While in the United States, Melissa clerked for the Hon. Rosemarie Aquilina, 30th Circuit Court, Ingham County. Throughout the course of her clerkship, she gained invaluable experience that she has brought back to her practice in Southwestern Ontario.
After returning home, Melissa articled and subsequently spent several years working at a boutique firm, practicing civil litigation, more specifically personal injury.
In 2020, she launched Melissa Scott Law.
